Message from the Organizing Secretary Dr. Gouri Shankar Jha:
Respected Seniors, Esteemed Colleagues, and Young Budding Anatomists,
Warm greetings from the land of Goddess Maa Sita!
On behalf of the Anatomical Society of India and the Organizing Committee,
it is my honor and pleasure to invite you to the 72nd National Conference of
the Anatomical Society of India, hosted by the Department of Anatomy,
Darbhanga Medical College & Hospital, Darbhanga, Bihar, from 13th to 16th
November 2025 (with a Pre-Conference CME on 13th November 2025).
From the very beginning, we have been working tirelessly to ensure that this
prestigious event becomes a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all participants.
Our dedicated team is meticulously planning every detail—from a robust
academic program to comfortable accommodations and unique sightseeing
opportunities.
In collaboration with eminent anatomists and esteemed oϙce bearers of ASI,
we are curating an academic program that spans all subspecialties of
Anatomy. This program will not only satisfy your quest for knowledge but also
outline a visionary roadmap for the future of Anatomy, elevating its
status within the medical fraternity.
For the first time, you will experience an All-India Level PG Quiz and an
open-house friendly debate on traditional blackboard teaching methods
versus modern PowerPoint presentations, along with many other academic
activities.
Beyond the academic sessions, we invite you to explore the cultural and
spiritual treasures of Mithila:
• Visit the Darbhanga Maharaj Campus, a site of historic and cultural
significance.
• Worship at the sacred Shyama Mai Mandir, a revered temple of
Goddess Maa Kali.
• Experience the vibrant Mithila Haat, a cultural hub inspired by Jaipur’s
chokhi Dhani.
• Take a short trip to Janakpur, Nepal, just 75 km away, steeped in
Mithila’s cultural heritage.
We promise you a memorable experience enriched with Mithila’s famed
hospitality, summarized in our motto, “Atithi Devo Bhava” (Guest is God). Indulge in the region’s traditional delicacies, including fish, paan, and makhan,
which are an integral part of Darbhanga’s heritage.
Accessibility:
• The venue is just 10 km from Darbhanga Airport, 5 km from Darbhanga
Railway Station, and 2 km from Laheriasarai Railway Station.
• Darbhanga is also easily accessible, located 140 km from Patna, the
capital of Bihar.
Kindly save the dates. The vibrant land of Mithila awaits to welcome you with
open arms for an unforgettable experience of learning, camaraderie, and
cultural immersion.
